I handle all aspects of family legal matters, both in and out of the courtroom. Most of my clients will choose to resolve their family matters by separation agreement or a court order that was made by consent of the separating couple. I work with my clients to achieve that settlement either by negotiation, mediation, collaborative practice or by court applications and a more traditional legal approach.
While the majority of family cases in BC Courts do not proceed to a trial, some families need the structure of the court process and assistance of a judge in the early steps of a court action. I still work tirelessly with my clients and opposing counsel to find creative solutions and resolve family matters outside the courtroom. I have a solid and respected courtroom reputation.
